All but a lock to select Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars have focused on giving him some weapons to work with.

That has included signing former Detroit Lions wideout Marvin Jones Jr. in free agency.

Jones has been terrific throughout his career, and who could forget his insane Hail Mary catch over Chicago Bears safety Eddie Jackson back in the 2017 NFL season?

On a 3rd-and-long at the beginning of the second quarter, there isn't much pressure on an offense. Teams will often try not to make a mistake in this situation, versus trying to pick a risky big gain. However, Matthew Stafford and the Lions had other plans.

Stafford eluded a rush and escaped the pocket to buy a bit more time. Keeping his eyes downfield, he found Jones streaking deep and pulled the trigger.

With one Bears defender hitting the turf, it created a one-on-one jump ball for Jones against Jackson. Jones cut in front of Jackson and used every bit of his 6-foot-2-inch frame, extending for this ridiculous catch.

The Lions needed 18 on 3rd down here, and they were able to pick up a measly 58 yards, setting the offensive up in scoring position. Detroit also got the last laugh on the scoreboard too, beating the Bears, 20-10, with Jones posting three catches for 85 yards.
