Detroit Lions veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford has enjoyed a solid career at the NFL level thus far, but few moments are quite as memorable as the time he fooled the Dallas Cowboys defense at the goal line for a game-winning QB sneak in 2013.
Especially considering that play came on a move that may have been sneaky enough to surprise some of his own teammates.
Talk about a heads-up play, as seemingly every Cowboys defender appeared convinced that Stafford's repetitive calls for a "clock" play guaranteed that snap was going right back into the ground to stop the clock.
What else was lost in the shuffle of this fiery ending was the fact that Calvin Johnson hauled in 329 receiving yards of Stafford's 488 passing yards in this game. Johnson was a huge part of Detroit's success, including the recipient of the pass that brought Stafford and the Lions down to the goal line prior to his fake spike.
