Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is receiving a lot of attention from NFL teams heading into the upcoming draft, but one team may surprise you. He had an interesting moment with Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin while balling out at his recent Pro Day.

Steelers 2021 NFL Draft Rumors

“You know who we came to see,” Tomlin said to Fields. “Give it to me baby.” This is something to note given the Steelers are in search of a young successor to take over once starter Ben Roethlisberger's career comes to an end. He is currently only under contract for the 2021 season.

Justin Fields Steelers Rumors

If the Steelers want to draft Fields, it would almost certainly take a major trade up to do so. Pittsburgh currently has the No. 24 overall pick, so it could look to make a deal if Fields starts to fall a bit on draft day. His overall athleticism is something the Steelers haven't had at QB in a long time.

As one of the top quarterback prospects in this NFL Draft class, Fields has pure dual-threat capabilities. He threw for 5,373 yards and rushed for 867 yards during his two seasons as a Buckeye. Plus, he totaled 78 total touchdowns during that span and threw just 9 interceptions.

Fields is set to work out at his final Pro Day on Wednesday, April 14. While Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert attending Fields' first one was an intriguing sign of interest, it would go to a whole other level if they traveled to see him throw again.
