All eyes will be on the Kansas City Chiefs' new wide receiver arrivals after the departure of All-Pro Tyreek Hill this offseason. One player who could emerge as a new go-to target for Patrick Mahomes is JuJu Smith-Schuster, who's back on the field after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 5 last year.

If Smith-Schuster's first training camp practice is any indication, he looks primed for a bounce-back campaign in 2022.

The sixth-year pro made a highlight-reel catch during Wednesday's practice, diving to his right in order to haul in a pass from Mahomes. The fact he had no hesitations about landing on the same shoulder he injured last season is a great sign for his comeback bid in 2022.

Smith-Schuster ended up being one of the top stories from the first training camp period. He showed an obvious rapport with his new QB, which is encouraging news for an offense that needs someone to step up in Hill's absence.

Smith-Schuster's early performance could lead to an intense battle for targets as the likes of Mecole Hardman, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Skyy Moore vie for Mahomes' favor heading into Week 1.
