VIDEO: Josh Norman Got Call to Sign With 49ers Mid-Interview

The San Francisco 49ers have their eyes on a Super Bowl run this season, and they're continuing to acquire talent in pursuit of that goal. On Sunday evening, they added veteran cornerback Josh Norman to the mix ahead of Week 1.

It turns out that Norman's call from his agent about the signing was caught on camera.

A recently released video from YouTube channel GOAT Farm Media covered Norman's preparation for the season despite being unsigned. At the very end, Norman gets a call from his agent with news of San Francisco's interest, and they decide to make the signing official.

This is a really cool behind-the-scenes look at how an unsigned veteran approaches free agency. The 49ers' current position as contenders for the 2021 season played a huge role in Norman's agent thinking he should take his talents to the Bay. Being part of a Super Bowl run would certainly help cement Norman's legacy entering his 10th NFL season.

The former All-Pro and Pro Bowler is coming off an impactful season in 2020 despite injuries. He recorded 4 pass breakups, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 interception across just nine games. If he can stay healthy, the veteran would provide a huge depth piece to San Francisco's secondary.
