The Boston Celtics were in high spirits after crushing the Brooklyn Nets in a 139-96 blowout on Wednesday. It was just the latest in a series of highlights for young Celtics stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who appear to be on a mission to win a championship together this year.

After the game, Tatum reflected how he and Brown got to this point in their NBA careers.

Tatum admitted that figuring out how to play and be a leader in the NBA has been a learning process for both of them. He acknowledged their "amazing strides," but also noted that they're still a long way from where they want to be, which is ultimately winning a title.

Indeed, the evolution of Tatum and Brown has been impressive to watch over the last few years. While both have had their share of growing pains, it's helped them become better players and leaders. With Brown now in his seventh season and Tatum in his sixth, they seem to be hitting their strides, as both were recently selected to the NBA All-Star Game later this month.

To Tatum's point, the only thing left to do is win a championship. Boston came agonizingly close last year, only to fall to the Golden State Warriors in six games. It was a valuable learning experience for everyone, however, and the Celtics have come back with a vengeance this year. They currently have the best record in the NBA (37-15) and are favored on FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA odds (+380) to win the title.
