Deebo Samuel looked poised for a breakout year in 2020. As a rookie, Samuel racked up 961 yards from scrimmage and 6 TDs. He even upped his game in the postseason, totaling 229 yards from scrimmage across three playoff games. That kind of production made him looked poised to take over San Francisco's WR1 role, which was open following the departure of Emmanuel Sanders.
Unfortunately, the Deebo hype train got derailed by a surprise foot injury during the offseason. Samuel is supposed to miss a good chunk of the season, but his recovery could be going better than expected. Take a look at this video of Samuel working out.
Though this likely won't do much to change his recovery timetable, it is encouraging to see him making such sharp cuts.
This is certainly a sign that his recovery appears to be going well.
