Minnesota Vikings star running back Dalvin Cook has been enjoying a breakout year in his young NFL career through Week 12 of the 2020 NFL season.
Cook is leading the entire league in touchdowns (14), yards from scrimmage (1,385), all-purpose yards (1,385) and rushing TDs (13), with an incredible 5.2 yards per carry on the year thus far.
However, all of that comes with a high volume of usage and carries too, of course, with Cook already piling up more than 200 rushing attempts (219). And while some may be concerned with that usage equating to some potential wear and tear on Cook's body as we enter the final stretch of the 2020 regular season, he certainly is not.
You have to love the way he not only denies any possibility of "wear down" in this response, but even flips the script on the reporters asking what that even means to the reporters.
Cook reassured the reporters that he has his body in the right shape to handle this workload and that he feels great, but he has had a track record marred by injury in the not-so-distant past. Cook has only missed a single game this season so far (Week 6), but let's hope it stays that way as the Vikes continue battling from the outside looking into the playoffs.
