D.K. Metcalf was arguably the star of the 2019 NFL Combine, but he somehow fell to the Seattle Seahawks at pick No. 64. After the Old Miss standout was selected, Metcalf greeted Seahawks' head coach Pete Carroll in the same fashion that sent his draft stock viral: shirtless.
However, Metcalf quickly became the second-most notable shirtless man in the room.
That's right, the 67-year-old Carroll popped his shirt off to greet Metcalf just before the two shook hands.
Perhaps, the most bizarre aspect of this stunt is its contrast to Metcalf's comments on how he didn't actually like taking his shirt off less than four days prior to this interaction.
However, my favorite part is Carroll subtly turning to the camera and staring down the audience.
It's hard to fathom why a 21-year-old prospect with a 6-foot-3, 228-pound frame would have any reason to shy away from taking his shirt off. But Carroll reminded us that you don't have to ripped to grab some shirtless attention.
