College football bowl season is finally here. One intriguing matchup this year is the Valero Alamo Bowl, which will pit the No. 14 Oregon Ducks against the No. 16 Oklahoma Sooners.

The 2021 Valero Alamo Bowl will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021.

Alamo Bowl Time

This year's Alamo Bowl kicks off at 9:15 p.m. ET on Dec. 29.

Alamo Bowl TV

The 2021 Alamo Bowl will air on ESPN.

Alamo Bowl Location

Oregon will square off against Oklahoma at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX.

Alamo Bowl Weather

The Alamodome is a domed football stadium, so weather will not be a factor. Regardless, the forecast for San Antonio on Wednesday calls for a high of 83 degrees and partly cloudy skies.

Alamo Bowl History

The Alamo Bowl has been played since 1993. It has featured teams from the Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences.

Oregon has made three appearances in this bowl game. The Ducks most recently lost to the TCU Horned Frogs, 47-41 (3OT), in the 2016 Alamo Bowl.

Oklahoma has never appeared in this bowl game. The Sooners defeated the Florida Gators, 55-20, in the 2020 Cotton Bowl, their last bowl game appearance.
