US Open 2022 Opening Odds Favor Rahm, Morikawa, McIlroy and Scheffler on FanDuel Sportsbook

Although the PGA Championship is the next Major event in the 2022 season, it isn't too early to start looking ahead to this year's U.S. Open. The annual event will take place at The Country Club, Brookline, Mass., from Thursday, June 16 to Sunday, June 19.

FanDuel Sportsbook has already released its opening 2022 U.S. Open odds, giving bettors a better idea as to who could win. As it stands, Jon Rahm is the current favorite at +1000 odds after having won the tournament for the first-ever time last year.

The trio of Collin Morikawa, Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are in a three-way tie for the second-best odds (+1200). Of the three, McIlroy is the only one to have won the U.S. Open, with his victory coming in 2011.

Another golfer worth taking note of is Tiger Woods, who returned to the PGA Tour at the Masters earlier this month. Although his odds aren't great (+5000), an upset victory would see Woods join Willie Anderson, Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus as the only other golfers to have four U.S. Open wins.
