The New Orleans Saints signed a number of undrafted free agents following the conclusion of the 2022 NFL Draft, but one is seemingly becoming a favorite among the fans. Former Auburn safety Smoke Monday made himself stick out after trash-talking the Atlanta Falcons on social media.

Monday posted an Instagram story on Saturday passing by Mercedes-Benz Stadium and telling the Falcons organization "good luck" facing him two times a year. Of course, Monday is an Atlanta native and spent four years playing college football in the neighboring state of Alabama with the Tigers.
Feeding into a divisional rivalry before even playing a single snap with New Orleans is a safe way to get the fans cheering. The Falcons own a 54-52 all-time series lead, but are just 2-7 straight up in their last nine games against the Saints. The series could be all but even after the 2022 season.
As for Monday, he will head into training camp looking to secure a roster spot after posting 171 tackles (17.0 for loss) and 6.0 sacks at Auburn. The defensive back also racked up 8 pass breakups to go along with 5 interceptions and built a reputation for making big plays given his three pick-sixes.
Depth in the secondary is never a bad thing to have and Monday lines up as a box safety at the NFL level. His aggression and passion for the game makes him a likely special teamer at the least.
For now, the Saints have odds set at +4400 to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
