Ty Lue Linked to Rockets After Houston Fires Multiple Assistant Coaches

Out with the old, in with the new? That appears to be the case for the Houston Rockets, who have been firing assistant coaches left and right.
After missing out on a trip to the NBA Finals once again thanks to the Golden State Warriors, the Rockets have since fired assistants Mitch Vanya, Roy Rogers, Jeff Bzdelik and others.
Could this potentially open the door for Ty Lue to join Mike D'Antoni's staff in Houston?

Per NBA insider Shams Charania, Houston has interest in bringing in Lue to become a lead assistant under D'Antoni, while the Pelicans have also reached out.
However, Lue, who was in the mix to potentially become the new Lakers head coach after they fired Luke Walton, isn't eyeing assistant jobs. He wants to be the head man in charge at his next stop. This could put the kibosh on any kind of Lue-to-Houston discussions.

Lue, fired by Cleveland after starting the 2018-19 campaign 0-6, has been in demand of late and the season isn't even officially over. We'll see where he ends up, though Houston or New Orleans as an assistant seems unlikely as this point.
