2021 has been a rough year for the Minnesota Twins. Coming into the season projected to battle it out for the AL Central title, Minnesota currently sits in last place in the division at 47-64. Josh Donaldson has been one of the team's few bright spots and managed to stay in town on a team that became majors sellers at the trade deadline.

Josh Donaldson Injury Update

Donaldson, however, will now miss his second straight game following a hamstring injury. Luckily, there doesn't seem to be any news of a setback, and could just be the team taking a more cautious approach in a season that seems all but lost.

The 35-year-old third basemen is enjoying a solid season, hitting .245 with 16 home runs and 45 RBIs. There doesn't seem to be a major cause for concern right now, but if he starts to miss more and more days coming up, it will be clear the injury was worse than initially thought.

The main focus should be getting Donaldson healthy, especially on a team that sits 16 games out fo the last Wild Card spot in the American League and +50000 to win the AL Central, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest MLB odds.
