Entering the 2019 college football season, the battle for the Heisman Trophy was viewed as a two-horse race. Clemson Tigers quarterback Trevor Lawrence was the favorite to win the award, with Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa close behind. The odds on FanDuel Sportsbook have favored one of those two to win the Heisman versus "The Field" until now.

In the most recent update, The Field is now favored to win the Heisman, with -250 odds, according to the sportsbook.

The first two weeks of the college football season featured some big performances, but none came from Lawrence. Through two games, he has passed for 436 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. Tua has certainly played better, even though it hasn't been enough to keep the two favored according to the odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. Tagovailoa has completed 76.4 percent of his passes for 563 yards and seven touchdowns.

The two now have +200 odds for one of them to win the Heisman trophy, in a special futures bet on FanDuel Sportsbook.

A big reason for the shift in odds is the performances from other Heisman hopefuls including Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, Justin Fields and Jonathan Taylor.

There's a lot of football left to be played, so there's plenty of time for Lawrence or Tua to again take a firm control of the Heisman race.
