Tim Tebow was once the savior of north Florida when he was at the University of Florida and brought home two national titles. But now there's a new stud in town and Trevor Lawrence is here to resurrect the Jacksonville Jaguars, possibly alongside Tebow.
The beloved former QB recently signed a contract with the Jaguars in hopes to make the team as a tight end. The move received heavy criticism considering Tebow's lack of experience and almost decade-long break from the game.
There were even reports that it was causing distain within the Jaguars' locker room. Well, it appears Lawrence must have missed that team meeting, because when asked about Tebow, he was all praise.
"He’s just a guy that you want to be around ... Those are the kind of guys you want in your locker room and you want to be around every day. And then I’m excited to see what he can do on the field as well. We got in a few days and he looks great. He’s in awesome shape."- Trevor Lawrence, AP Pro Football Podcast
The way Lawrence describes him, it sounds like a guy anyone would want on their team.
Time will tell if Tebow makes the final roster, but it's clear he's got the support from Lawrence out of the gate.
