The Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers kick off the 2019 NBA Western Conference Finals with Game 1 in the Bay Area on Tuesday night. The Warriors are currently 7.5-point home favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

As it's always smart to hear what those in the industry have to say before placing a bet, here are some expert predictions for Game 1 of the 2019 Western Conference Finals.

Trail Blazers vs Warriors Expert Predictions

Sports Interaction

Jeremy Perry, of Sports Interaction, predicts the Warriors will take Game 1, 114-108, but also projects the Trail Blazers to narrowly cover the 7.5-point spread. Perry argues the Warriors should have an easier time getting past the Blazers than the Houston Rockets, but Portland's backcourt will keep things closer than 7.5 points.

FiveThirtyEight

FiveThirtyEight is backing the Warriors with a hefty advantage in Tuesday night's Game 1, giving Golden State a 73.0 percent chance of winning this matchup.

WagerTalk News

Nikos Lagouretos, of WagerTalk News, predicts the Warriors will win Game 1 and cover the 7.5-point spread in doing so. Lagouretos points to Golden State's 34-13 home record versus Portland's 23-24 road record this season as the major differentiator for Game 1.

All three expert predictions are calling for the Warriors to win Game 1 of this series straight up, but one of the two predictions against the spread is backing Portland to cover a 7.5-point spread.
