Top Streaming Quarterbacks for Fantasy Football Week 13

With quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Tannehill on bye this week, fantasy managers may be looking for a replacement on the waiver wire. That can be a scary proposition this late into the season, as managers might be staring down the barrel of a must-win game.

If you need some help at QB this week, here are three of the best streaming options, rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo fantasy leagues, to target in Week 13.

3. Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers (33% Rostered)

Jimmy Garoppolo is coming off a down week (11.2 points), but the Minnesota Vikings have quietly been tough to throw against (No. 10 in pass defense DVOA). Now he'll get to face the Seattle Seahawks, who have the league's sixth-worst pass defense by DVOA. He has put up at least 15.0 points in four of his last five, giving him a solid floor. Jimmy GQ should be a decent play, but he doesn't have the highest ceiling. If you're willing to take on a little more risk, go for Matt Ryan. A matchup with the banged-up Tampa Bay Buccaneers' secondary gives him some real upside. The risk comes because of Ryan's recent play, as he's been held under 10.5 fantasy points in three straight games. We'll go with Garoppolo, but Ryan is a fine play as well.

2. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (33% Rostered)

When healthy, Tua Tagovailoa has been tremendous during the Miami Dolphins' recent win streak. He has completed 54-of-64 attempts (84.4%) for 503 yards and 3 touchdowns with 1 INT over his last two games. That's made him the QB15 in that time. The only real downside is a matchup with the New York Giants, who have quietly been good against the pass. NYG surrenders the eighth-fewest fantasy points to QBs while boasting the league's seventh-best pass defense by DVOA. Still, Tagovailoa is playing well enough to be worth a look here.

1. Taylor Heinicke, Washington Football Team (35% Rostered)

Taylor Heinicke gets the nod as our top streaming pick of the week. He has 15-plus fantasy points in three of his last five, including two performances with at least 20. He's also averaging 30.4 rushing yards per game during that span, which significantly boosts both his floor and ceiling. Now, he'll get a matchup with a Las Vegas Raiders defense that surrenders top-10 production to opposing QBs and has the league's eighth-worst pass defense by DVOA. He should be a rock-solid play in Week 13.
