The tight end position is a pretty tricky one. Outside of a few elite producers at the top of the position, there just aren't that many reliable assets. That has proven more true than ever this season.

With the position producing so little, fantasy managers have been forced to win on the margins, which is why streaming the position (picking up a new TE each week based on matchups) can be so crucial.

Coming off a week where two of our three picks returned top-six fantasy value in standard leagues, here are our top tight end streaming picks, rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues, to target in Week 13.

3. Logan Thomas, Washington Football Team (41% Rostered)

In an ideal world, we'd never recommend any player facing the Pittsburgh Steelers' stout defense. But with how terrible the position has been this year, fantasy managers need to make some concessions. There just aren't many reliable tight ends right now, but for the most part, Logan Thomas has actually been one. He's put up at least 10.6 PPR points in four of his last seven starts. A matchup with the Steelers isn't what you want to see, but Thomas has a higher floor than most of his peers on the waiver wire.

2. Jordan Reed, San Francisco 49ers (25% Rostered)

Jordan Reed is pretty much the poster child of "unreliable fantasy player," but he's worth a look in Week 13. He didn't do much of anything against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12, but he had double-digit PPR points in his last outing before that Week 12 dud. Plus, Reed draws a matchup with a Buffalo Bills' defense surrendering top-five PPR production to opposing tight ends. He's a boom-or-bust player, but the matchup suggests he's more likely to land on the "boom" side of things in Week 13.

1. Trey Burton, Indianapolis Colts (19% Rostered)

Trey Burton was one of our top picks last week, and he came through with a stellar performance. His 6 targets were tops among all Colts' tight ends, finishing third on the team behind Nyheim Hines and Michael Pittman. He turned those 6 looks into 3 catches for 42 yards and a TD. Any tight end seeing that kind of volume is in play against the Houston Texans' defense. Houston is a bottom-10 pass defense by DVOA, and that should give the TD-dependent Burton plenty of chances to score. He's now found the end zone five times in his last six games.
