Top Fantasy Football Streaming Quarterbacks With Aaron Rodgers on Bye in Week 5
By Max Staley

Quarterback is one of the most matchup-dependent positions we have in fantasy football. That can make streaming the position (adding a QB off the waiver wire each week) an extremely effective strategy.
With Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford on bye, and Cam Newton in danger of missing his second-straight game, here are the three best streaming options for Week 5.
Fantasy QB to Stream in Week 5
3. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers (17% Rostered)
There's theoretically a chance that Tyrod Taylor returns to the starting lineup if healthy, but Justin Herbert has been way too good to bench. His 20.0 fantasy points per game are good for the 10th-best mark at the position. It's not like he's doing it against bad defenses, either, as two of the three teams he's faced are currently top-10 scoring defenses. The No. 6 overall pick draws a matchup against a New Orleans Saints' defense that has been nowhere near as good as advertised in 2020. New Orleans is the league's eighth-worst scoring defense, surrendering 30.8 points per game (PPG). The Saints have also given up 11 passing TDs (No. 29 in the NFL). Herbert's rushing ability (12 carries, 47 yards and a TD) is just icing on the cake.
2. Daniel Jones, New York Giants (33% Rostered)
You're going to want to start whoever is playing the Dallas Cowboys until further notice. This defense is horrendous, surrendering 36.5 PPG (No. 32) on the year. Those are video game numbers. Daniel Jones hasn't been great in 2020, having yet to finish a game with more than 17.5 fantasy points. But he's had some outrageously productive games in the past (three 30-plus point games in 2019). This is the best get-right spot imaginable for Danny Dimes.
1. Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings (28% Rostered)
Kirk Cousins cracked this list last week and he, unfortunately, had a better real-life game than a fantasy one, finishing with 14.9 points. We're willing to go back to the well in Week 5, though. His Minnesota Vikings will face off with a Seattle Seahawks' defense surrendering 401.0 passing yards per game. That's bad enough to make pretty much any QB fantasy viable. In fact, Ryan Fitzpatrick was our top streaming pick last week because of this matchup and he rewarded fantasy managers with a 21.3-point showing. This game also features a huge 57.5-point over/under on FanDuel Sportsbook. Cousins looks poised for a big game on Sunday night.
