Top Fantasy Football Streaming Quarterbacks for Week 9

With fantasy studs like Joe Burrow, Carson Wentz and Jared Goff on bye in Week 9, fantasy managers might need to add a streaming QB off the waiver wire this week.

With that in mind, here are our three best streaming quarterbacks picks, rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues, for Week 9.

3. Drew Lock, Denver Broncos (10% Rostered)

We're starting this list off with Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock, which should be a sign that this isn't exactly the best week for streaming QBs. Still, there's a lot to like about Lock here. He's coming off arguably the most impressive performance of his career, going 14-of-18 for 155 yards with 3 TDs to 0 INTs in the fourth quarter of Week 8, including the game-winning pass. Taking on the Atlanta Falcons (No. 29 pass defense in Football Outsiders' DVOA metrics), Lock could be in for a repeat showing here.

2. Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings (28% Rostered)

Kirk Cousins has been as shaky as it gets this year, but there's reason to believe he'll be up to the task in Week 9. For one, the Lions-Vikings matchup features a hefty 53-point over/under on FanDuel Sportsbook, suggesting it could be one of the highest-scoring games of the week. Detroit was also just gashed through the air by Philip Rivers, who threw for 262 yards and 3 scores. The Lions' defense isn't particularly imposing, sitting at No. 17 in DVOA, and Cousins has finished three games with at least 19.0 fantasy points on the year.

1. Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders (42% Rostered)

Derek Carr has quietly been one of the more reliable low-end quarterbacks this year. Prior to last week he had put up at least 19.0 fantasy points in four of his past five starts. He only put up 12.6 last game, but the horrible conditions made it difficult for both offenses to throw the ball, so it's hard to blame him much there. The Los Angeles Chargers have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing QBs this season, so look for Carr to get back on track with a big showing here.
