The kicker position is easily the most overlooked part of any fantasy football roster. Most fantasy managers probably drafted a kicker with no plans to think much about the position until their starter's bye week rolled around.
That's leaving points on the board, though. It may not be fun to spend time every week thinking about the kicker position, but it can be incredibly valuable.
With that in mind, here are three kickers, rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues, to target as streaming options in Week 9.
Fantasy Kickers to Stream Week 9
3. Ryan Succop, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs NO)
It took the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense a couple weeks to start clicking, but now they're rolling and Ryan Succop's production reflects that. He averaged an already decent 7.0 fantasy points per game through his first four, but now he's up to 11.3 per game over his last four. For context, only three kickers (with at least two games played) are averaging even 10.0 per game on the year.
2. Ka'imi Fairbairn, Houston Texans (at JAX)
Like the Houston Texans as a whole, Ka'imi Fairbairn has had a disappointing start to the season. He's in a dreamy spot this week though, as the Texans shouldn't have any trouble scoring against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Week 9 NFL odds have the Texans favored by 6.5 in a game with a 51-point over/under, and Fairbairn should get plenty of scoring chances against a D that allows the NFL's second-most points per game (31.4).
1. Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks (at BUF)
Jason Myers had a slow start to the season, since the Seattle Seahawks scored too many touchdowns. He had 1 field goal attempt but 14 extra points attempts through his first three games, scoring a total of just 17 fantasy points. Regression has hit, and he's attempted 4 field goals in the last four weeks combined, scoring at least 7 fantasy points in three of the four. The kicker attached to one of the league's best offenses will continue to be a top fantasy play down the stretch.
