Top Fantasy Football Streaming Defenses for Week 4

Three of the top five scoring fantasy football defenses so far in 2021 had a preseason average draft position (ADP) outside the top-12 at the position. Meanwhile, the two top-drafted teams by ADP both rank outside the top-12 in actual production.
More than just about any other position, fantasy production for defenses is all about matchups and situation. That's why so many fantasy managers opt to lean heavily on the waiver wire and "stream" the position by readily adding and dropping defenses every week to find a new starter.
If you're one of those managers, The Duel is here to help with our top fantasy football streaming defenses for Week 4.

3. Tennessee Titans (at NYJ)
If “the defense against the New York Jets” was one D/ST unit, they would have 49 fantasy points. No actual team has more than 37 points on the season. The Tennessee Titans take up the mantle in Week 4. They’ve been highly underwhelming this season, but at this point any defense against the Jets is firmly in play as a streaming option.
2. Cincinnati Bengals (vs JAX)
Trevor Lawrence may not be playing like Zach Wilson, but he’s also generated a ton of fantasy points for opposing defenses. He has 7 interceptions through three games, and defenses against the Jags have averaged 12.0 fantasy points per game. Unlike the Titans-Jets spot, then Bengals have also quietly looked terrific on defense this year. Their fantasy production hasn’t been anything special (a middling 7.7 fantasy points per game), but some of that has to do with their schedule. Pro Football Focus has given Cincy the league’s ninth-best defensive grade to start the year, and this should be another long day for Lawrence.
1. New Orleans Saints (vs NYG)
The New Orleans Saints have one of the week’s best fantasy defenses overall, not just among streamers. PFF has this unit ranked eighth, and they’ve topped 15 fantasy points twice in three games. FanDuel Sportsbook’s odds have the Saints as 7.5-point favorites in a game with a low 43.5-point over/under. That gives the Giants an implied total of only 18.0 points, suggesting that New Orleans is in for another dominant outing here.
