If you thought defenses were a position you can just set and forget in fantasy football, Week 1 should have been a wake-up call. The top-scoring unit for the week was the San Francisco 49ers — owned in only six percent of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues. Ranked No. 2 in Week 1 was the Tennessee Titans, owned in nine percent. Tied for the lowest scoring defense of the week was the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are owned in 89 percent of leagues.

Every week there are plenty of defenses worth starting on the waiver wire, and it pays to be vigilant in keeping up with the best weekly plays at the position.

With that said, here are the top three fantasy football streaming defenses for Week 2.

3. Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts

It's not realistic to expect another 20-point performance from the Tennessee defense, but its Week 2 matchup could certainly lead to another strong fantasy performance. The Indianapolis Colts aren't nearly as tough a matchup as the Cleveland Browns, who the Titans held to 13 points in Week 1, and Tennessee is favored by three points at home, per FanDuel Sportsbook. The Titans' pass-rush struggled in 2018, but newly-acquired Cameron Wake recorded four QB hits in Week 1, giving him a good shot to get to Jacoby Brissett, who was sacked twice in his 2019 debut.

2. Buffalo Bills @ New York Giants

Already looking like a top defense heading into the season, the Buffalo Bills finished top-10 in fantasy production in Week 1, racking up four sacks and finishing tied for fourth with nine QB hits against the New York Jets. The New York Giants, their Week 2 opponent, hung 17 points on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, but the Bills still come into this one as favorites on the road. The Giants allowed the NFL's 10th-most sacks in 2018, and the Bills' pass rush is in a good spot to generate strong fantasy numbers again.

1. Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars

The Houston Texans are the least likely of the group to be available on the waiver wire, but they're still only owned in 52 percent of Yahoo! leagues while sitting fourth among defenses in our Week 2 fantasy football rankings. Coming off a tough Week 1 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, Houston is favored by 8.5 points (the third-biggest spread for Week 2), against the Jags, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Jacksonville will be forced to start sixth-round rookie Gardner Minshew following Nick Foles being placed on the IR with a collarbone injury. Putting a late-round rookie QB behind the offensive line that allowed the NFL's seventh highest sack rate in 2018 is a recipe for disaster, and this is likely to be a matchup we target with streaming defenses all year.
