Defensive scoring in fantasy football depends more on weekly matchups than maybe any other position. There are very few true, every-week starting options out there, and all but the absolute worst defenses can be worth using if they're in the right matchup.

Every week there are plenty of defenses worth starting that are available on the waiver wire, and it pays to be vigilant in keeping up with the best weekly plays at the position.

With that said, here are the top three fantasy football streaming defenses for Week 12, all of which are available in at least 50 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Football leagues.

3. Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts (26% Owned)

Just as they're getting back T.Y. Hilton, the Indianapolis Colts have lost Marlon Mack for a crucial divisional matchup with the Houston Texans, and the Texans are 3.5-point favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook. Houston just got absolutely roasted by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11, but they also scored a season-high 19 fantasy points the game before that. Their production can be very hit-or-miss, but the ceiling they showed in Week 9 still leaves them as a solid high-upside play if you're in a pinch.

2. Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (17% Owned)

Sticking in the AFC South, the Tennessee Titans have scored nine-plus fantasy points twice in the last three games, and they rank ninth in the NFL with 8.2 per game on the year. They've not done an especially good job getting to the QB this year, but they do have the 12th-highest takeaway rate in the NFL. The Titans are the seventh-ranked defense in our Week 12 fantasy football rankings.

1. Cleveland Browns vs. Miami Dolphins (50% Owned)

Just making the cutoff as a streamer, the Cleveland Browns draw the best matchup you can ask for. The Miami Dolphins are one of only three teams allowing a double-digit sack rate this season, and their 16.8 percent turnover rate is the fifth-highest in the NFL. Even without Myles Garrett, the Browns should have no trouble taking advantage of this spot, owning the NFL's sixth-best sack rate and coming off a season-best performance (16 fantasy points) in Week 11.
