Top 12 Fantasy Football Defense Rankings for Week 4
By Max Staley

Defenses are sometimes left as an afterthought in fantasy football, but Week 3 served as a reminder as to just how important they can be. Anyone who got a 26-point outing by starting the Indianapolis Colts' defense would certainly agree.
With that in mind, here are our fantasy football defense rankings for Week 4.
Fantasy Football Defense Rankings Week 4
12. Dallas Cowboys (vs CLE)
11. Arizona Cardinals (at CAR)
10. New Orleans Saints (at DET)
9. Philadelphia Eagles (at SF)
8. Buffalo Bills (at LV)
7. San Francisco 49ers (vs PHI)
6. Indianapolis Colts (at CHI)
5. Chicago Bears (vs IND)
Philip Rivers may be with a new team, but he looks like the same guy. He's already thrown 3 interceptions on the year, and that could be dangerous against the Chicago Bears' defense. Chicago is currently the league's ninth-best scoring defense. The Bears have also racked up 3 interceptions on the year, and allow the fourth-fewest yards per passing attempt (6.5).
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs LAC)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defense is tremendous. The offense has grabbed all the headlines, but the defense is the reason this team is 2-1. Tampa Bay's 12 sacks are tied for the third-best mark in the league, and opposing QBs have a 83.0 passer rating against the Buccaneers – good for the sixth-best total in the league. Plus, Tampa Bay's rush defense is still elite, having surrendered 211 rushing yards on 72 carries (2.9 yards per carry). Justin Herbert has thrown 1 pick and been sacked 2 times in each start thus far, giving this Bucs' defense big-time upside in Week 4.
3. Los Angeles Rams (vs NYG)
2. Denver Broncos (at NYJ)
1. Baltimore Ravens (at WAS)
The Baltimore Ravens were an easy selection at the top. Dwayne Haskins' play has been completely erratic thus far, and he fell apart against the Cleveland Browns in Week 3. He threw 3 interceptions, was sacked 3 times and fumbled 2 times (losing 1). Putting him up against the league's most blitz-heavy defense (47.1 percent blitz rate) is a recipe for disaster for Washington.
