It looks like Todd Gurley's injury absence will have only been a one-game ordeal. He's back to getting in limited practice for the Los Angeles Rams, and head coach Sean McVay seems to think Gurley will suit up against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
This news makes Gurley a top fantasy football RB for Week 7.
Injury concerns are what was limiting Gurley's fantasy football appeal heading into the 2019 season, but when he's played the RB has still proven to be a strong option. He's averaging 17.2 opportunities (12.8 carries and 4.4 targets) per game on the year, and he's still his usual TD-scoring self with five in five games.
We could see his workload dialed back slightly in his return, but a drop in snap share from his 93 percent mark in Week 5 wouldn't be too concerning. His previous four games had seen him play between 63 percent and 75 percent, and he still averaged 14.6 PPR points per game in those contests.
A matchup with the Falcons should also give him a nice boost in efficiency. Atlanta ranks only 29th in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA rankings, and we have the Rams as Week 7's most well-positioned offense for fantasy production.
The potential for limitations around his workload does cap Gurley's fantasy value some. He's still in a terrific spot here though, and you're going to want him in your starting lineup as long as he plays. Gurley sits at RB8 in our Week 7 PPR fantasy football rankings.
