T.J. Watt put together one of the best defensive seasons in NFL history in 2021 for the Pittsburgh Steelers. In just 15 games, Watt tied Michael Strahan's record for most sacks in a single season at 22.5. It earned him a First-Team All-Pro nod and the Defensive Player of the Year award.

Heading into 2022, however, Watt is not satisfied. Watt Has increased his sack total every year of his career, so if he's able to continue that trend, he will be the lone holder of one of the more impressive records in the game.

When asked about his aspirations for this season and beyond, Watt had some responses Steelers fans will love.

"I feel that I have so much more to give to the game. I am definitely not satisfied. I am trying to continue to grow and be one of the best who ever played this game."

Showing that much drive about improving on his already impressive level of success, embodies what Pittsburgh and this franchise are all about. Which is why Watt fits right in. He furthered explained his feelings by saying:

"The No. 1 thing I told myself since probably my second or third year is that it is great to have a great play, a great game, but it is different stringing them together over days, weeks, months, seasons, years. It's all about being consistent and how long you can be consistent. It is all about me having the biggest impact on every single game, and whatever the results are is what they are."

Consistency is the key here, and Watt has not only proved consistency, but that he can improve. Although I'm sure the Steelers would be just fine with a repeat performance. Let's be honest, they'd be thrilled with anything close to his record 2021 season.

The Steelers will need Watt and the defense to be at the top of its game. With Mitch Trubisky presumably starting the year at quarterback and rookie Kenny Pickett waiting in the wings, FanDuel Sportsbook currently has the Steelers at +8000 to win the Super Bowl next season, good enough to be tied for the 23rd-best odds in the NFL.
