The Tennessee Titans finally got clarity on offensive tackle Taylor Lewan's knee injury last week, as he was officially ruled out for the season after initial hopes he could avoid a lengthy absence. The loss of Lewan is certainly a huge blow to this struggling offense that now must play the remainder of the 2022 campaign without the three-time Pro Bowler.
Tennessee has moved quickly, though, to add depth following the Lewan news by stealing an OT from the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad.
The Titans have signed Le'Raven Clark to bolster this O-line depth. Though he hasn't played in 2022, he has the experience that could prove valuable after the loss of Lewan.
Clark was originally a third-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2016. He primarily played tackle (and some right guard) for the Colts from 2016-2020, appearing in 47 games and making 15 starts. He then made four appearances, including a Week 17 start, for the Eagles last season before rejoining them on the practice squad for this campaign.
The 29-year-old will join the likes of Dennis Daley and Nicholas Petit-Frere in shoring up LT in the aftermath of Lewan's injury. At 6-foot-5 and 319 pounds, he certainly will add some beef to the line in front of Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill.
It's possible Clark sees some snaps right away for Tennessee in Week 4 against his old team, the Colts. NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook peg the Titans as 3.5-point underdogs ahead of that AFC South clash.
