Titans Star Calls Out Arthur Smith on Twitter for Stealing Team's Free Agents
By Larry Rupp

NFL free agency breaks up teams year after year, but what the Atlanta Falcons are doing to the Tennessee Titans this offseason seems like a rare occurrence. Offensive lineman Taylor Lewan even playfully called out head coach Arthur Smith for taking all of the Titans' free agents to fill out his 2022 roster.
Arthur smith really just taking the whole squad.

Lewan joked that Smith was "taking the whole squad." The Falcons signed former Titans tight end Anthony Firkser just a week after signing linebacker Rashaan Evans as well. Lewan also spent time with new Atlanta quarterback Marcus Mariota early on in his career, so he has some friends in Atlanta.
Firkser will now act as the No. 2 TE behind Kyle Pitts after racking up 1,107 yards and 5 touchdowns across four seasons in Tennessee. He acted as a reliable safety blanket for QB Ryan Tannehill and owns an impressive career catch percentage mark of 75.7%. That'll work just fine for the Falcons.
Meanwhile, Evans had been a defensive machine for the Titans since being selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The 26-year-old has piled up 317 tackles (15.0 for loss), 3.0 sacks, 8 pass breakups and 2 interceptions in 59 games played (50 starts).
A couple of big names from Tennessee's 2021 squad remain unsigned including the likes of cornerback Janoris Jenkins and wide receiver Julio Jones. Who knows, maybe they end up in Atlanta as well. The Falcons' lack of WR depth certainly makes the idea of a reunion with Jones enticing.
