Titans Get Much-Needed Ryan Tannehill COVID Update

With the NFL season quickly approaching, the Tennessee Titans are dealing a crop of COVID-related absences. Fortunately for Tennessee, starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill is poised to return in time for Week 1 action.
Tannehill has been stuck on the NFL's COVID list since Aug. 26. While being placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list doesn't mean a player has tested positive, there was a level of uncertainty the starting quarterback would be cleared in time for Week 1.

Tannehill enters his third season in Tennessee fresh off of a career year in which he put up 3,819 passing yards and 33 touchdowns to 7 interceptions. His team returns most of their starting core and the addition of superstar wideout Julio Jones offers Tennessee a chance to take another big step forward with their offensive production.
In 2020, the Titans finished fourth in the NFL by scoring 30.7 points per game en route to an 11-5 record, the franchise's best finish since 2008.
Tennessee enters Week 1 as 3-point home favorites against the Arizona Cardinals, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
