Tennessee Titans fans may have been disappointed when their team traded wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles this season, but the fanbase also gained a valuable pass-catcher in Super Bowl LVI champion Robert Woods.

Woods tore his ACL during practice in November, prematurely ending his 2022 NFL season. With fans wondering how his recovery is progressing, the 30-year-old veteran had a great update at Wednesday's Titans Foundation Dinner.

Robert Woods Injury Update

Woods said that his knee is feeling much better, evening joking that the Titans are "kind of holding me back a little bit." He added that he feels "really, really good" in general and that he's looking forward to "being able to do some things" on the football field.

"But really my main goal is to be ready, and be back in tip-top shape. I just want to be ready to go when it is time."

Robert Woods

The Titans would love it if Woods can get back to his pre-injury self. The former USC product racked up 367 catches, 4,626 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns in 68 career games with the Los Angeles Rams since 2017. He even contributed on the ground, tallying 70 carries for 485 yards and five TDs over that stretch.

Although Woods brings value as a pass-catcher and a rusher, he's also one of the top blocking wide receivers in the NFL. That sort of skillset could make No. 1 running back Derrick Henry even more dangerous as he's coming off his own injury-plagued campaign.

Woods also won't be alone in replacing Brown's production. The Titans used a first-round pick on rookie WR Treylon Burks last month for a reason and they also have Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, who showed flashes of promise last year.

It's going to take a group effort if a championship is going to be brought to Tennessee in February. The Titans are currently +3000 (No. 16) to win Super Bowl LVII, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
