With a win against the Texans next week, the Titans clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
AND a first round bye to get Derrick Henry one more week to potentially return.
Titans Playoff Scenarios
The Titans own the tiebreaker over the Chiefs after beating them in Week 7. With both teams at 11-5, a Tennessee win in Week 18 would wrap up the No. 1 seed for Mike Vrabel's squad.
That would be a massive advantage for this team on multiple levels. The AFC playoff bracket would have to go through Tennessee, who'd have home field throughout the postseason. Being able to host a potential AFC Championship Game at Nissan Stadium would certainly provide a boost.
There's also the factor of Derrick Henry's injury recovery. He last suited up in Week 8, and a playoff return has always been the goal. Securing a first-round bye would give the star RB one more week to rest before possibly being unleashed when it matters most.
Tennessee draws the hapless Houston Texans in Week 18, giving them a golden chance to finish the year 12-5 and as the AFC's top-ranked seed.
