It's encouraging that D'Angelo Russell is nearing a return to action following left knee surgery, but his status for Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings remains doubtful. The Minnesota Timberwolves PR team confirmed that he, Malik Beasley, Ricky Rubio, and Jaylen Nowell are all resolving injuries and are doubtful to play.

That means the T-Wolves will have to look a little further down their depth chart to figure out who is starting in the backcourt. Russell last played on February 8, but the three other players are recent absentees. Rubio has missed the last two games, Beasley missed the previous game, and Monday will be Nowell's first absence.

Anthony Edwards started against the Philadelphia 76ers the last time out, playing 41 minutes and dropping 27 points. Jordan McLaughlin started at point guard and put up a season-best 39.7 FanDuel fantasy points while also playing 41 minutes. McLaughlin is a low-cost option, carrying a $4,600 salary, with boom potential.

Edwards has a $7,400 salary and has put up 40 plus FanDuel points in three of his last four games.

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Timberwolves listed as 3.5-point home underdogs against the Kings Monday night.
