Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow and head coach Urban Meyer enjoyed an incredible run of success at the University of Florida, helping the Gators win two National Championships. With Meyer seemingly close to a deal to jump to the NFL as the next head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, some are speculating that Tebow could be part of the staff that Meyer has prepared.

However, Tebow shot down those rumors.

Tebow last played an NFL down in 2012 before getting into broadcasting and pursuing a career in baseball. He's currently preparing for his fourth season in the Minor Leagues and isn't interested in giving up on his baseball dream just yet.

While Tebow has never had an official football coaching gig, it would make sense for him to land with Meyer if he was open to it. Several former QBs have worked their way up the ranks from positional coaches to offensive coordinators and even head coaches.

Tebow would make an excellent QB coach in the future, and at only 33 years old, he'll have the opportunities in the coming years if he's interested. With Meyer likely ending up in Jacksonville, now could be the right time for him to consider giving coaching a try.
