Despite holding +1600 odds to win the green jacket heading into the 2019 Masters, no one knew for sure what we would see from Tiger Woods in this year's tournament.

While Woods has proven he can win on tour again, he has yet to capture a major since his legendary 2008 U.S. Open victory.

When Round 1 teed off, Woods looked solid from the get-go. In fact, he was tied for the lead for much of the back nine at 3-under par on his way to a first-round score of 2-under par 70.

Woods was even the live favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, during mid-way through his round today.

He currently sits in the clubhouse, one stroke back of the lead, although, there are still people out on the course so that lead could grow by the end of the day.

Regardless of how you feel about Woods' chances the rest of the week, he had some impressive moments on Thursday.

The golf world would go crazy if or when Woods wins another major, but for him to do it at Augusta would be a little more special. Woods is now sitting at +1200 to win the Masters, the third-best odds of anyone in the field.
