The Watch List: Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Sleepers to Stash Ahead of Week 4

The fantasy football landscape changes so quickly that you should always be thinking weeks ahead. It's a short season, and you can't neglect your current week's lineup, but with the roster spots at the end of your bench you should be taking some gambles. That's especially true early in the year, with bye weeks still not playing much of a role in Week 4.
The following three players, all owned in 25 percent or less of Yahoo! Fantasy Football leagues, may not offer much fantasy appeal in Week 4, but their long-term upside could make them worth a roster spot.
3. Dion Lewis, RB, Tennessee Titans (25% Owned)
Not exactly setting the NFL on fire in 2019, Dion Lewis has only notched 14 touches for 47 yards through three games. Looking deeper, there are some signs that he's still a real threat to cut into Derrick Henry's workload, though. The two don't share the field often, and their snap counts have trended in opposite directions in each week. Week 1 saw Henry play 59.0 percent to 42.6 percent for Lewis. In Week 2 it was exactly 50.0 percent for each, and then Lewis played 52.5 percent to Henry's 47.5 percent in Week 3. We're going to want to see Lewis' touches improve before we can plug him into a starting lineup in fantasy, but the steady increase in snaps could be an indicator that those touches are coming.
2. Adam Humphries, WR, Tennessee Titans (6% Owned)
Running it back with another Tennessee Titan, Adam Humphries has also seen an increase in snap rate every week, from a worrying 36.1 percent in Week 1 to 56.7 percent in Week 2 and 67.5 percent in Week 3. In those last two games, he was second among Titans' WRs, behind only Corey Davis. Unlike Lewis, Humphries has also seen an increase in volume already, culminating in nine targets in Week 3. He also had some huge preseason volume when playing with Marcus Mariota, and after seeing more than twice as many targets as Davis in Week 3, Humphries could be developing into the Titans' top WR.
1. Preston Williams, WR, Miami Dolphins (5% Owned)
There's still some value in last week's stash in DeVante Parker, but Preston Williams could quickly establish himself as the Miami Dolphins WR to own in fantasy after increasing his targets each week, from five to six to 12. Those 12 were the highest single-game mark for any Dolphins' player this season. It's obviously hard to get excited about an offensive player on a team with a combined 16 points through three games, but in the Dolphins' schedule has been brutal, taking on the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys and now Los Angeles Chargers. Things stand to open up significantly after Miami's Week 5 bye, and if Williams sees more big volume in his next game, then he could very well prove to be a viable starting option against the Washington Redskins in Week 6 and beyond.
