Week 9 "Thursday Night Football" features the undefeated San Francisco 49ers in the desert taking on the Arizona Cardinals. As the lead running back in a talented 49ers offense, Tevin Coleman's fantasy outlook remain high as he goes up against a Cardinals' defense that has given up at least 70 rushing yards or a touchdown in every game since Week 3.
Coleman is fresh off a tremendous four-touchdown performance in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers. Since returning from injury, Coleman has found the end zone in three of his four games, scoring a total of six touchdowns. Over those four weeks, Coleman has ranked as RB6 in PPR scoring.
With the 49ers taking a committee approach to the backfield, the ceiling for Coleman has been capped. However, with Matt Breida and Raheem Mostert both questionable to play with lower body injuries, Coleman could see an increased workload from his 15.8 average touches per game.
The matchup is also a positive one for Coleman as Arizona is tied for the ninth-most yards allowed per carry, at 4.7. Another perk for the running back is the projected game script, which likely calls for a run-heavy approach from San Francisco as the 49ers are favored by double-digit points, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Many things are pointing to Coleman having a terrific game tonight, and he comes in at RB12 in our Week 9 fantasy football PPR rankings.
