Tee Higgins Comments on Possible Contract Extension
The Cincinnati Bengals are gearing up for another run at the Super Bowl, already making some significant additions this offseason.
However, wideout Tee Higgins is heading into the final year of his contract and still trying to negotiate a long-term extension with the Bengals. Amid this uncertainty, the playmaker has even popped up in trade rumors this offseason.
Higgins provided his feelings on his extension talks on a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee show, saying:
"Yeah, right now, I'm just preparing for the season. I'm not really worried about the contract. Obviously, I want to get a deal done, but I let my agent handle that, and you know, right now, just for me getting my body right for next season."- Tee Higgins, The Pat McAfee Show
The deal is expected to get done, we just don't know what it will look like. Higgins, along with superstar Ja'Marr Chase, helps form arguably the best WR duo in the NFL.
It's clear Higgins wants to remain in Cincy for the long haul, and what wide receiver wouldn't want to have Joe Burrow throwing to them? For now, Higgins is unbothered and letting his agent do all the work; his focus is on getting ready for the season and trying to help this Benagals team win a Super Bowl.
