In his short NFL career, Patrick Mahomes has gone an astonishing 27-8 as a starter across the regular season and the playoffs. With one Super Bowl ring already and a loaded Kansas City Chiefs team behind him, it looks like NFL defenses will be having nightmares for years to come.
In particular, Mahomes' dominance has come against the AFC North and AFC West, where he's gone an amazing 17-1 as a starter (5-0 and 12-1, respectively). We looked at the three teams that have had the biggest trouble stopping Mahomes and the Chiefs.
3. Baltimore Ravens
Although Mahomes has only faced the Baltimore Ravens twice, he's played brilliantly in the Chiefs' two close victories over their AFC rivals. In those two games, he's thrown for a combined 751 yards and 5 touchdowns with just 1 interception. The Ravens are not an easy adversary, but Mahomes has shredded them thus far in his career.
2. Denver Broncos
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have utterly dominated the AFC West in the last two seasons. Mahomes is undefeated against the Denver Broncos, going 5-0 with 8 passing touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown, and 1,307 passing yards. Considering the Broncos have been a solid defensive team over the last two years, Mahomes' dominance is quite impressive.
1. Las Vegas Raiders
Mahomes is 4-0 against the Las Vegas Raiders with 11 passing touchdowns and just 1 interception. His average passer rating against the Raiders is 113.6 and he averages 298.5 yards through the air per game. Maybe the Raiders can hope their move to Las Vegas will bring better luck against Mahomes. Otherwise, they'll be waiting for the day he leaves the division.
