Taylor Decker Gives NSFW Quote After Lions' Week 12 Loss

The Detroit Lions are still kicking themselves after not pulling out the win against the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving. Detroit had the Buffalo on the ropes but never landed a knockout punch, ultimately allowing the Bills to emerge with a 28-25 victory.
Still, the Lions showed a ton of grit to keep the score close in an expected blowout. Offensive tackle Taylor Decker had a NSFW quote following the contest to describe how things have changed under head coach Dan Campbell.
Taylor Decker: "This isn’t the fucking same old Lions anymore. We’re going to go out there and we’re going to get our respect, and we’re going to earn that respect." https://t.co/QmryvjtUOk via @freep

Lions Thanksgiving Game
Decker said after the game, "This isn't the [expletive] same old Lions anymore." The veteran added, "We’re going to go out there and we’re going to get our respect, and we’re going to earn that respect."
This is just another indication of how much players have bought into Campbell's hard-nosed culture. Decker is certainly qualified to speak to the shift in Detroit given that he's spent all seven years of his career with the team and has seen way more failure than success after making the playoffs as a rookie in 2016.
The Lions are still searching for their first trip to the postseason since that 2016 squad, but it's clear Campbell and GM Brad Holmes are building a roster that wants to fight for them. With talent now in Detroit as well, like 2022 No. 2 pick Aidan Hutchinson and the returning Jameson Williams, this team could finally be ready to turn the corner soon.
