We're just about an hour away from the long-awaited matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV. And looking at some of the data that has come in thus far, it's looking like the public is hammering the Chiefs on FanDuel Sportsbook.
With under an hour left to kickoff, a whopping 71.81% of the money placed on the spread on FanDuel Sportsbook have come in on the Chiefs -3, and 62.61% of the total bets placed on the spread have come in on Kansas City as well.
It's no surprise that the public seems to be favoriting Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, who won the Super Bowl last year. But it's a bit jarring to see Tom Brady receiving such a low volume from bettors, as he's typically one of the most "public" quarterbacks.
At this point, only time will tell if the bettors are right or not.
