Super Bowl 54 Coin Toss Odds for 49ers vs Chiefs
By Max Staley

Super Bowl LIV is still about two weeks away, and while the wait will be agonizing for fans of the San Francisco 49ers or Kansas City Chiefs, the time off does give bettors plenty of time to analyze the matchup.
And there's arguably no more iconic prop bet than wagering on the pre-game coin toss.
Super Bowl Coin Toss Odds
Given the inherent 50-50 nature of this bet, it should come as no surprise that the odds are currently a dead heat between heads (-103) and tails (-103), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Interestingly though, tails has actually had a significant advantage in recent seasons.
Super Bowl Coin Flip History
Over the past six Super Bowls, the pre-game coin toss has come up as tails five times. The lone exception was the 2018 Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles.
It's a little more even over the past 20 coin flips, with tails only hitting 12 times.

While "tails never fails" isn't exactly true, it's certainly had the edge lately. But whether or not tails can maintain its recent dominance is anyone's guess.
