Opening week for the 2021-22 NBA season continues on Friday with a showdown between the Phoenix Suns and Portland Trail Blazers.

Here are three of the best prop bets for this regular season game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Suns vs Trail Blazers Prop Bets Tonight - 10/23/2021

1. Damian Lillard - Points: Over 29.5 (-108)

Damian Lillard opened the 2021-22 season with an uncharacteristic 20 points against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. He'll be looking to bounce back against a Suns team that he torched for 41 points the last time he played them back in May. In fact, he's averaging exactly 29.5 points per game in his last three encounters with Phoenix. It's also important to note that the Suns have allowed their opponents to shoot .438 from 3-point range (25th) this year. Considering how Lillard averaged 10.5 three-point attempts last season, the volume could be there tonight for another high-scoring performance.

2. Deandre Ayton - Rebounds: Under 10.5 (-118)

Deandre Ayton is one of the best centers in the NBA, however, he seems to struggle with rebounds against the Trail Blazers. He's played Portland five times in his young career, averaging just 7.4 RPG during that span — well below his career average of 10.6. While they may not have an elite center, the Trail Blazers collected 57 boards in their season opener while the Suns have been averaging 53.0 RPG (T-20th). Both are small sample sizes, but Ayton has had his struggles against Portland in the past and there's a good chance that continues tonight.

3. Chris Paul - Assists: Over 8.5 (-130)

Chris Paul has continued to prove why he's the "Point God" even at 36 years old, averaging 12.0 assists per game through Phoenix's first two matchups. History indicates that Paul shouldn't have trouble hitting the over tonight. He's averaged 8.9 APG in 52 career matchups against the Trail Blazers. That average climbs to 9.1 APG in games where Paul is going head-to-head with Lillard. The Suns are also allowing 25.0 assists per game (19th) so far. With Paul being the wizard with the ball that he is, a 9-plus-assist night isn't out of the question.
