The Minnesota Vikings have locked up the No. 6 seed, which essentially renders their Week 17 game meaningless. In fact, the Vikings are expected to rest some top-tier starters, like Kirk Cousins, against the Chicago Bears.

While it's unclear whether or not Stefon Diggs will be active for this one, Minnesota's cautious approach certainly hurts the fantasy outlook of the Vikings' skill-position players.

Stefon Diggs Fantasy Outlook in Week 17

With Cousins expected to sit, Sean Mannion gets the start for Minnesota. Even if Diggs is active, the decision to start Mannion certainly hurts Diggs' Week 17 fantasy value.

The Vikings also have a brutal matchup this week. The Chicago Bears are a top-10 pass defense according to Football Outsiders' DVOA metric, and Chicago has allowed the fifth-fewest PPR points to opposing wideouts.

With a tough matchup, and an uncertain role, Diggs looks like a really risky play in Week 17. Of course, his talent is such that he's capable of posting a decent fantasy output even in a limited role, but it's likely best to steer clear of Diggs this week unless you're really in a pinch.

Before the Cousins news broke, Diggs was the WR14 in our Week 17 PPR rankings, but the decision to start Mannion would make Diggs a pretty huge gamble.
