The Pittsburgh Steelers seemed destined to select Alabama running back Najee Harris with the No. 24 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Pittsburgh ignored critics that said RBs aren't a good value pick early in the draft to nab Harris before another team did.

Few may be more qualified to weigh in on the pick than Steelers legend Jerome Bettis.

The Bus gave his seal of approval on Harris as Pittsburgh's top pick. The Hall-of-Famer highlighted that not all RBs are built the same and Harris is a special talent.

"These running backs are not a dime a dozen. People are inclined to think 'Ahh, you can find one in the later rounds.' You can't find a good one. What you find in the later rounds are all small running backs. The big backs weren't there late. You know why? Because there aren't any. When you find one, you got to get him, quick."

Bettis certainly knows what it takes for a "big back" to succeed in the NFL. He racked up 13,662 rushing yards and 91 TDs over 13 seasons, earning 6 Pro Bowl nods and 2 First Team All-Pro selections.

Pittsburgh embraces the run game, as evidenced by Bettis' reign of terror, and Harris could reignite that element once again.
