The entire 2018-19 NHL season has been narrowed down to one final game this Wednesday night, as the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues go toe-to-toe in Game 7 of the 2019 NHL Stanley Cup Finals.

While the result is still days away, the oddsmakers were quick to weigh in with their confidence behind the Bruins. Boston is currently a -160 favorite to close out the year as 2019 NHL Stanley Cup Champions at home in Game 7, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Bruins are actually even heavier favorites to win the series than Game 7 with -168 odds compared to -160 odds, respectively. However, the narrative remains the same: Boston is the clear betting favorite ahead of Wednesday night.

St. Louis has actually been better on the road than at home overall in this year's postseason, but a do-or-die Game 7 away from your home ice is a tall order.

The Blues have gone 4-4 against Boston this season, including the regular season, and 2-2 against the Bruins on the road. Both of those two road wins have come in this Stanley Cup Final series.

However, NHL teams that have won a Game 6 on the road in the Stanley Cup Finals have then gone 4-1 as home teams in the following Game 7 showdowns, which certainly doesn't bode well for St. Louis.
