The New England Patriots come off their bye week to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. While the running game for New England has been lackluster to target in fantasy this season, Sony Michel has offered some value. Unfortunately, that value takes a big hit with Rex Burkhead in the lineup.

It has been a rough first half of the season for Michel, who has totaled just 482 rushing yards through nine games, averaging 3.3 yards per carry. His saving grace has been his touchdown production, with him finding the end zone a total of six times, scoring a touchdown in four different games.

Burkhead has dealt with injuries this season, causing him to miss games. However, he was able to play in Week 9 against the Baltimore Ravens, and his presence hurts Michel even more.

Michel has averaged 4.5 more carries per game when Burkhead was inactive this season. He is also utilized in the passing game without Burkhead, seeing nearly three targets per game.

With Burkhead back and healthy, it means Michel will likely lose that receiving work while also seeing fewer carries. That is a big deal when he has not been efficient and relies on touchdowns to find value.

Michel comes in as RB34 in our Week 11 PPR rankings, while Burkhead is unranked for the week.
