Tampa Bay Buccaneers' superstar pass-rusher Shaquil Barrett is looking to get paid when he becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He should have no trouble finding a suitor. Over the past two seasons, T.J. Watt (29.5) is the only player who has recorded more sacks than Barrett (27.5). He also proved he can deliver when it matters most, recording 4.0 total sacks in the Bucs' Super Bowl run.

There will be plenty of teams vying for Barrett's services this offseason, though the Buccaneers are surely hoping to retain the 28-year-old. However, the quote he gave to Adam Schein while appearing on Sirius XM's Mad Dog Radio suggests that may be easier said than done.

If he's really looking to break the bank this offseason, it's tough to see him staying with the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay has a ton of other impending free agents it has to take care of, and while Barrett is surely a priority, other teams will be able to offer more than the Bucs can.

Of course, we have seen stars like Mike Evans offer to restructure his deal to get the band back together, so it's not like a return is out of the question.

But you can't blame Barrett for wanting a big deal. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent and spent five mostly unremarkable years on the Denver Broncos before exploding onto the scene with the Bucs in 2019.

His reputation around the league will never be better than it is right now, so if he's looking to cash in, this is absolutely his best chance. But Bucs fans are surely hoping he can do that in Tampa Bay.
