Cleveland Indians pitcher Shane Bieber had a clear breakout season in 2019. He was named to his first all-star game, and he brought his ERA down from 4.55 in 2018 to 3.28 in 2019.

According to the latest odds on FanDuel Sportsbook, he's projected to take another big step forward in 2020.

After finishing third in the MLB with 259 strikeouts last season, Bieber ranks in the top five in the odds to lead the majors in strikeouts in the 2020 season. His +1200 odds rank behind only Justin Verlander, Jacob deGrom, Max Scherzer and Gerrit Cole.

He also ranks third (trailing just Verlander and Cole) in odds to win the AL Cy Young. His +700 odds are only barely behind Verlander (+650), which Indians fans will love to see after Bieber finished fourth in the voting in 2019.

Bieber only just turned 25 years old in May, and it really looks like the sky is the limit for the dominant righty. It may not surprise fans in Cleveland that he's being projected for a great year, but it has to be nice to see that his 2019 breakout isn't expected to have been a fluke.
